QUESTION

How is a Command Line Code added to Transaction Pro Importer or Exporter?

ANSWER

For a complete list of Command Line Codes available for Importer, reference this ARTICLE. For a complete list of Command Line Codes available for Exporter, reference this ARTICLE.

Version 8

If adding a Command Line Code to Version 8 Importer or Exporter, it is added to the main Transaction Pro Launcher icon. It is suggested that a copy is made of the current shortcut to maintain one icon with no Command Line Code and one with the Command Line Code(s).

Follow these steps to add a Command Line Code line to the Transaction Pro launcher:

  • Right click on the Transaction Pro shortcut and select PROPERTIES

  • Select the SHORTCUT tab
  • For the target, add the Command Line Code to the end of the shortcut address
    • Be sure to leave a space before any forward slashes (/)
    • Multiple Command Line Codes can be added for both Importer and Exporter
    • Launcher recognizes if the Command Line Code is for Importer or Exporter automatically
  • Click APPLY and OK

  • Launch Transaction Pro from the updated shortcut

Version 6 or 7

If adding a Command Line Code to Version 6 or Version 7 Importer or Exporter, it is added to each application's icon. For an Importer Command Line Code, it is added to the shortcut icon for Importer. For an Exporter Command Line Code, it is added to the shortcut icon for Exporter. It is suggested that a copy is made of the current shortcut to maintain one icon with no Command Line Code and one with the Command Line Code(s).

The steps to add the Command Line Code is the same as above except right-click on the Importer icon and follow the remaining steps to add an Importer Command Line Code, and right-click on the Exporter icon and follow the remaining steps to add an Exporter Command Line Code. Multiple Command Line Codes can be added to either Importer or Exporter, if needed. Remember to leave a space before each forward slash (/).
